A day spent learning and putting into practice a variety of techniques to photograph small birds in flight.

We start of in our woodland hide photographing forest birds and then we visit some other locations to get images of other birds in flight including swallows, sand martins, warblers etc (depending on time of year). We also may use insects in flight to further enhance your portfolio and photographic knowledge.

Putting something back....
We finish off this workshop by planting some native trees to enhance the habitat the squirrels and woodland birds live in. This is the best thing we can do to help these incredible animals. You will learn about tree planting, species placement and how to identify invasive species. This is easy work but does enormous good.
Our forest restoration plan was done with the aid of the Woodland Trust.
If you wish to do some more photography, you may spend the last hour in our woodland hide.
Covid-19 Safe
- Reduced to one household or group of friends per booking due to need of being in hide.
- Hide deep cleaned after every workshop and is open to elements.
- Face masks provided for when we are in hide, 2 people can social distance in hide, if group bigger than that then Philip (your guide) will be in a separate hide and will communicate via walkie talkie.
- Please bring all your own refreshments and food as none will be provided to keep in line with government advice.
