A Summer of Sea Birds
We have been having so much
fun out West with the awe inspiring Sea birds found on the Treshnish
Islands and round the coast of Argyll.

The majestic Fulmar, relation of the albatross, has
been spotted on all of our trips out to the Treshnish islands. They
can be easily distinguished from a seagull with their straight,
flat wings, their nostril on their beak and their soaring flight
with little flapping of wings.

These are their very, very cute and fluffy chicks.
Their dark eyes are mesmerizing.

And then there were the Puffins....

Possibly the complete opposite of the Fulmar, they
look more like a bumble bee in flight, with their wings flapping
as hard as they can.

They have an almost crash landing technique, which
allows for some great aerial images with the sun behind them and
their feet glowing in the sun.
